About / WTF

I am a man on a guided mission to encapsulate the beautiful and evoking patterns that sound frequencies create, through the simulation of cymatics. 🐇

About the Creator

I don’t really perceive myself as an artist but an individual more akin to a dot connector.

I always thought of myself as a bit different from my peers. Looking back to my younger years and recalling thoughts like “what would happen if time just stopped” help me solidify this conclusion. I believe we are all unique with what it is that captivates our attention. I am into numbers, numerology, geometrics, architecture, cymatics, nature, matrix. science. In my mind I am always mixing these factors together to create.

I had not given too much thought about geometric patterns and their attributes. but around the age of 6 they just started coming into my field of vision whilst I was drifting off to sleep. they would just come and go, dancing in a majestic like way. By adulthood these went away or I simply never noticed them anymore.

It was many years later in 2012, that I stumbled upon the fascinating subject of cymatics whilst researching alternative architecture and design principles. The way sound and vibration literally creates the world around us just absolutely amazes me. The visually stunning and beautiful patterns it can create can be found everywhere. Ancient cave art, star forts, religious artifacts, present day architecture, plants, insects, animals, places of worship and even designer handbags and clothing.

Fast forward to 2021, the patterns returned strong during meditation and from this point forward I began exploring this subject again. Now I feel that a duty has emerged and I have been called to bring these beautiful and unique frequencies along with their magic, to the ehtereum blockchain to preserve them forever, where everyone can benefit from their intricate and very telling patterns forever more.

Each frequency changes pattern dramatically by adjusting densities and tensions of the plate surface as well as the number of sound waves passed through it. This allows me to go deep down the rabbit hole and create 10 patterns for each frequency. Each will be minted only once making these non fungible tokens very rare. The patterns are strictly as as created by sound with no additional image editing and all in black and white.

These ancient magical frequencies bring meaning. But most important of all they bring cause and effect. Be mindful of this when listening to tones and staring at patterns. It may make you feel a little woo woo. I can attest first hand to this as creating this stuff is both enlightening and painful. You have been warned!!!

Stay tuned for some extremely exciting frequency drops!

Enjoy the ride!!

Origins of Cymatics

Ernst Chladni was a German physicist and musician. His most important work, for which he is sometimes labeled the father of acoustics, included research on vibrating plates and the calculation of the speed of sound for different gases. We now call this cymatics.

Cymatics is a subset of modal vibrational phenomena. The term was coined by Hans Jenny a Swiss follower of the philosophical school known as anthroposophy.

Typically the surface of a plate, diaphragm, or membrane is vibrated, and regions of maximum and minimum displacement are made visible in a thin coating of particles, paste, or liquid.

Different patterns emerge in the excitatory medium depending on the geometry of the plate and the driving frequency.

Chladni figures (“nodal patterns”) are known to be related to the solutions of the Schrödinger equation for one-electron atoms, and the mathematics describing them was used by Erwin Schrödinger to arrive at the understanding of electron orbitals.

To briefly summarize, Chladni patterns are produced by standing waves over the vibrating plate’s surface. The motion of the anti-nodes causes the sand to settle onto the nodes (the stationary points) over the plate, thus creating the Chladni patterns.
